This work presents the investigation of a solution to accelerate computations of high-pressure transcritical fluids at low-Mach number regimes based on the artificial compressibility method. The highly adaptable nature of this approach is particularly well suited for conducting complex, high-fidelity simulations on GPU-based computer architectures. The initial exploratory results presented provide speedups of $10\times$ without significantly compromising the simulation accuracy in terms of flow physics.
