A parametric study of the 30p30n three-element high-lift airfoil is conducted by changing the angle of attack at 5, 9 and 23º at a constant Reynolds number of Re=750,000 based on the nested chord. Computational predictions are performed employing wall-resolved large-eddy simulations. The aim of this work is to address the flow dynamics around a high-lift wing, detect how the main flow features change as the angle of attack is increased and discuss which are the main mechanisms that contribute to the drag.
